The TA234 probe is a 30 A current clamp. The extended measuring jaws allow measurement in a confined space. When measuring DC, a simple thumbwheel on the probe allows zero adjustment.
This current clamp is ideally suited for use with PicoScope oscilloscopes and features additional screening to reduce noise pickup.

30 A (low amps) current clamp
I’ve been using this clamp for a few weeks now. Solid perfomance and good build quality. As with all the ‘hall effect’ current clamps, you need to let it warm up a little before relying on it’s low end current readings. I haven’t managed an overnight parasitic draw test yet with it, but I have noticed some drift when it’s only been switced on for maybe half an hour. That’s no different to any others, including my Fluke low amp clamp.
The jaw size is perfect for battery cables etc.. and it’s accuracy is superb, once zero’d.
I think the lowest stable reading is around 5 to 10mA. I’ve checked it against my Fluke ammeter and it’s pretty close.

This current clamp is built as good as all clamps sold by
Pico. This is a better alternative to the low amp clamp due
to the increased jaw opening to allow for larger cables.
great for doing key off battery drain.
